Plank by Kerry Marraffino

I was introduced to a plank in yoga class. It seems harmless and not too bad at first. I quickly changed my mind! It is a great exercise and can be a test of your mental strength as the longer you plank the tougher it gets to hold it. Sorry, I don't sugar coat things. LOL

Do what you can. If you can't do a 45-seconds plank don't worry! You can break it up into smaller chunks - maybe 10, 15 or 20 seconds at a time with a quick break in between for a total of 45 seconds. They get better the more you do them - I promise!

Before you know it you will be holding it a minute or more. Keep your butt and abs tight and remember to breathe. Visualize your happy place in your head and zone out until time is up. You got this!

To help you out I made a video of a plank. Choose which option feels more comfortable for you - either low on your elbows or high on your hands. I like to mix it up and do both. Here is a link to the videoWhile you are there please subscribe to my You Tube channel.

This is one of the exercises in my new book, "31-Day Workout Challenge." You can find it on Amazon here.

As always, reach out if you have any questions. Comment if you have done it and let me know what your longest plank time is.
